The next shining star in Advertising

I wonder if anyone in my class will be the next big thing to hit advertising. What will they come up with? What world will they save - or will it just be an amazing ad for Doritos, let's say.

I wonder if I might be the next big thing sometimes. Lately, I've been wondering what my role in the ad world will be. I don't think it's what I'm training for. Isn't that just like a student? They pay about 80 grand to make themselves the most amazing art director in the world - then realize that there's got to be more to life than photoshop, all nighters and concepts that may or may not be horrific, all depending on person's opinion that will be completely different from another's.

Don't be scared fellow ad people, I'm not leaving. I do love all of those things I mentioned - I wouldn't have it any other way. Ok, there'd be a couple of things I'd change, but not much.

But what else is out there? Can I really present my own work in the real world? Can I do my own research in the real world? How much is my protective world of the Adcenter is like the real world. I got a glimpse of it this summer at Mckinney, I liked it.

And what about the other side - the business kids? I feel more and more that I fit in the side just a little better. I admit I haven't taken classes to find out, but I think it might be time to start sneaking in.

hmmm...

speaking of business, back to work I go.
